The line-up of businesses/organizations on these tours is highly relevant to anyone wishing to expand their knowledge of the citrus industry in southern Africa.
Right at the start CGA would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the owners and facility managers that are accommodating and hosting visitors to their businesses. We trust this will be a visit of mutual benefit as new contacts are made and new ideas shared. Thank you.
Dates: Monday 10th March and Tuesday 11th March 2025. (The CGA Summit begins on the evening of the 11th March 2025)
Cost: R2 500 plus VAT. This includes accommodation, transport and meals. Some drinks will be provided.
Venue: Planning has taken place around having two groups, with each group rotating through the same sites in the Sundays’ River Valley and Gqeberha region. The groups will spend the afternoon/evening on the 10th March together.
Registration for study tour (NB): During registration for the CGA Summit there is a section to indicate registration for the study tour. CGA will be in contact in due course about various options for the tour as these arrangements are finalised.
Additional notes:
- There are limited places available on each tour (60 in total) - so book early.
- Access to port facilities will require proof of identification.
- Participants will not be able to enter the Citrus Foundation Block if they have visited a citrus orchard already on that day. Staying with the group is essential.
- The programme will mostly be in English but informal translation will be provided where required.
- While the programme has been arranged in good faith it may be subject to change to accommodate logistics and practical considerations (e.g. weather).
